Why “Oohlam”?
Ulam is the heart of a Filipino meal: the viand that turns a plate of rice into dinner. Oohlam is our take on it. Does the ulam make you go “ooh la la”? That is the bar every dish has to clear before it goes on the weekly menu.
Our story
Oohlam started with one question every Filipino household asks at 5PM: anong ulam natin? We built a kitchen that answers it for you.
Ulam is the heart of a Filipino meal: the viand that turns a plate of rice into dinner. Oohlam is our take on it. Does the ulam make you go “ooh la la”? That is the bar every dish has to clear before it goes on the weekly menu.
Our dishes are cooked in small batches by a team that grew up eating them: adobo simmered until the sauce clings, sinigang with real tamarind sourness, kare-kare with a properly rich peanut stew. We chill each dish right after cooking so it reheats the way it came off the stove, without preservatives.
Planning, deciding, budgeting, grocery runs, prepping: it is a full-time job nobody assigned to anyone. Oohlam takes the whole thing off your plate. Pick your ulam from the rotating weekly menu, choose250g or 450g portions, schedule delivery, and we bring it to your door Sunday to Thursday.
Oohlam is made by Daily's Diet, a Philippine food company focused on making good home cooking easier to get to. Questions or feedback? Write to us at hello@oohlam.ph.
